Process mapping

Business process mapping

We spend a week with your team mapping how the work gets done. Within a month you have the map, the fixes, and a ranked list of what's worth automating.

Four people's work funnelling into one overloaded founder

If you don't know your process map, you don't have a business yet

Your process map shows the tasks that make you money. It should shape your org chart, your costs and how you measure productivity.

Most maps show how work should run, with no numbers. Ours show how it does run, with the time and cost of each step, so you can see where the bottleneck is.

What you get

  • 01

    Your process map

Every step, who does it and what goes wrong, with the time and cost of each.

  • 02

    Process Maxing

We fix broken steps before anything is automated, including the ones automation can't help with.

  • 03

    Ranked opportunities

Every automation worth building, ranked by value. If none are worth it, we'll tell you.

  • 04

    Built in our own software

We map in the UpScale platform. It adds up the time and cost of every step, finds where work queues and simulates a month of the work, so you can test a change before you make it. You can see your maps in your client portal, and you get them as a BPMN file, an image and a PDF.

Questions

How long does it take?

A week on site, then results within a month.

How much of my team's time will it take?

About an hour each for interviews, plus some time with us watching them work.

Do we have to buy an automation afterwards?

No. The map and findings are yours either way.

What happens to the mapping fee if we go ahead?

It comes off the build in full. Maintenance is priced separately.

What if nothing is worth automating?

We'll tell you. The process fixes usually pay for the work on their own.

How is this different from Lean or Six Sigma?

Lean and Six Sigma improve the process you have. We also look at how well-run businesses do the same job, which sometimes means replacing a process rather than improving it.
